My Cat Is Sick With Digestive Problems, Has Anybody Heard Of This? What Can I Do To Help Her?
February 12th, 2010 § 7
My cat is just over 5 years old. For the past year and a half, she has had serious digestive problems. She suffers with diarrhea and constipation.
When she is constipated, she will panic and run around, stopping to scratch at carpets, while crying out (sounds painful). Finally, she will get in the potty position and have a BM (during her times of constipation, she hardly ever makes it to her litter box).
At first, this would happen every couple of months, then once a month, and now 2-3 times a month.
She also has difficulty cleaning her bottom when she grooms herself (I use wipes and bathe her when necessary) and also pulls hair out of her arms and hind legs when she grooms herself (however, she does not do this consistantly; the hair will grow in at times and be pulled out at other times- a vet told me that this behavior is caused by anxiety).
She is also very sensitive about having her feet touched. Not sure if this is related.
We have taken her to the vet several times, did full panel blood tests, everything came back normal. The vet gave us a laxative to give her when she is constipated, but she refuses it now.
She also vomits when she is having digestive problems (usually right before having a BM).
She eats well and drinks water (although she does appear thirsty at times and does not get up to drink water; whenever I notice this, I bring water to her and she drinks a lot of it). She is playful and plays with our other cat and is a loving and happy cat when not having tummy trouble. Our other cat, who is about 3 years old and is in perfect health. I am trying to figure out what is wrong with her so I can help her! She has been seen by 2 different vets with no diagnosis or improvement
Differential Equations: Can Someone Help Me With This (easy) Cat And Mouse Pursuit Problem?
February 9th, 2010 § 2
Here is the problem. Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much!
A cat sitting in the southwest corner of a 60′ x 60′ empty warehouse spots a mouse in the northwest corner. The mouse begins to run east along the north wall at 5 feet per second just as the cat begins pursuit at 10 feet per second, always running directly at the mouse. Describe the path of the cat from the southwest corner to the point at which the mouse is caught along the north wall.

My Pup Is Scheduled To Be Spayed Tom,but The Place Didn’t Mention Giving Any Medicine To Me After? Is This Ok?
February 7th, 2010 § 7
My little girl just turned 6 months. I want her to be spayed before she goes into heat. I have called almost every vet, and animal hospital/center/clinic in Queens, this place is the best to work with out of all of them. They all had different procedures for after care, some said they give an antibiotic shot there, and medicine to take home, some didn’t. This place didn’t mention anything to me about medicines after at all, should I be concerned??? From what I understand though, the ASPCA doesn’t give you anything after they do their surgeries either, so it’s ok right? I don’t know who is right about this. Help please!!
Also, I am using the muffin’s pet connection spay certificate for this visit. Has anyone is NY used this?? I heard only good things. The animal hospital is going to take it and it will cover everything. The only thing they were going to add on was the price of the ecollar, but I have my own for her. Let me know what you all think of this.
