Diabetic Cat That Stopped Using Litter Box?

July 13th, 2010 § 7

My diabetic cat has stopped using the litter box altogether. We have tried everything, changed the litter regularly, changed the type of litter, changed the litter box, all to no avail. Can any one give me some input? We are ready to put him to sleep because no one would take him due to the fact he is diabetic and won’t use the litter box. Can’t put him outside because he is declawed in front. We have had him for 8 years and love him very much but our home is his private litter box. We have 2 other cats that he has grown up with and have no problems with them. HELP please!

Is It Possible That The Vet Killed My Cat?

July 13th, 2010 § 27

I had my cat fixed, and was told after a week that I should retun for a check-up. My cat was sore after the operation, but she was recovering fine, although the antibiotics made her throw-up. When we went to the vet they said that everything was fine, there was no sign of infection, but they wanted to put her on a quick IV to give her a bit of a boost, and because she hadn’t eaten much since the operation (only drank). The IV seemed to go fine until the end when they injected a needle with something dark into her leg. Possibly an antibiotic. The fluid created a bubble under her skin, which then slowly absorbed into her system.
From that point on she started breathing a little heavy. The vet assured us it would be no problem. We took her home, and she moved about uneasyily, and continued to breath heavy. After two hours we we got in a cab to take her back to the vet. On the way, she started meowing, then coughing and drooling, then 30seconds before we arrived, she passed.

Worried That My Cat Has Severe Problems After Travelling?

March 1st, 2010 § 6

Well long story short, we just drove cross country from CA to FL, right before we left I brought The Rockstar to the vet to make sure he was completely healthy. Day 1 and 2 went fine, on day 3 he refused to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. And he is still refusing to eat, drink or go to the bathroom but has now started throwing up a yellowish liquid every couple of hours. The trip ended yesterday. And now he has been one day on solid ground, spending the whole day sleeping and avoiding people and all the above.
He was riding in a pet carrier the whole time in the car but every two hours we took a 20 to 30 min break so he could use the litter box, and have a treat and some water and stretch out and walk around a little bit. Well he stretched out and walked around but also refused to eat, drink or use the litter box in the car. Is there something seriously wrong with him that requires the attention of a Vet or is he still trying to adjust to the long drive and somewhat stressed out?

February 20th, 2010 § 4

The H5N1 avian flu virus has killed 78% of the people infected during the past six months. We’re being told to stockpile food, water, baby food, pet food, medicine, and cleaning supplies.
Also schools will close for 3 months during a severe pandemic.
Have you heard the warnings from the U.S. government?

What Are Signs That Cats Could Be Sick, Or Have Health Problems.?

February 18th, 2010 § 5

I have a cat that everyone else in my family hates. My mum hates her too much to take her to the vet. Is there any signs of sickness or anything I should watch out for.
