I have never had this problem before. I have one puppy and 2 kittens. I have had animals in the past, and would only have to put advantage on them once every two or three months. Now we literally have to put flea medicine on them every 1 1/2- 2 weeks. It is supposed to last a month…so why are they getting so many fleas? Is there anything I can do? All of my pets past and present are allowed into the front and backyards…so that can’t be something unique to this “batch” of animals . Would spraying my backyard work?

Theres a member of my family who had a kidney transplant and a procedure to recycle her blood because her kidneys wouldn’t take, (I forget what this is called) Well she has no immune system and she cant take any strong smells or chemicals because it can kill her (because of medicine she had to take afterward) There are now fleas in the house and we cant use anything to kill them and we don’t want to get rid of our pets is there anything out there that we can use or anything we can do please does anyone have ideas? i can’t stand them biting me anylonger!

My poor 13 month old Akita is covered in fleas and has been for quite a few days. We have tired everything to kill the buggers, but they are still around. Now I have bite marks all over my body that itch like crazy and I think I saw one of the black spots jumping around on my skin before I could squish it. What do I do? I must stop the itching before I lose my mind.

I have an indoor outdoor cat and he keeps picking up fleas. The vet sold us a flea medicine called “Revolution” its suppose to kill fleas and prevent eggs from hatching. Sputnik (my cat) loves to go outside and he jolts out the door whenever he gets a chance. Today when I was petting him I noticed 2 more fleas on the surface. I think these could be new fleas that he’s picked up while outside.
My question is… is this normal? Will the new fleas that he picks up die? I’m prone to flea bites, but I havent been getting bit lately. I feel that the medicine may be working but Im not certain because I keep finding fleas on him.

I gave my cats Frontline Plus two weeks ago and I still find big fleas on them, even pregnant fleas, on my cats when I use the flea comb. The directions say Frontline works immediately and not to apply a second treatment for at least a month. Is Advantage definitively better? Can I put Advantage on my cats now or should I wait two more weeks. I put Frontline on my cats two weeks ago. Have there been reports of fake or faulty pet medicine via an Internet store?
