Are they both drinking enough water during the day? See if things improve with an extra bowl of fresh water out. My cat loves to drink from the sink, and tends not to drink as much when the water has been out all day.
Clean all water bowls well, or if they are plastic, toss them out. Some plastics just seem to hang on to dirt. Rotate ceramic or metal water bowls, washing and drying completely at least twice a week.

I just had the same problem!! It started about a week or two ago when orkin came to spray a little. He didnt spray very much, just a spot in a room or two. I just took my kitten to the vets today to see if there was a connection, and they cant find anything wrong with her. She seems to be getting better and better every day about the potty problem. I took the top off the litterbox so they could have more escape routes.

i just found out my dog has fleas and he usually sleeps with us. my 6 day old is getting red marks all over his body and i was just wondering if any one thinks its flea bites and not baby acne. what should i do if its either?
