I have a pet cockatiel named Charlie and i adopted him from someone a couple weeks ago. When I got him I noticed his tail was bobbing and his nose was red and I know a considerable amount about birds and how to know if they are sick. I took him to the vet nine days ago and he gave me medicine to give him but his respiratory infection doesn’t seem to be getting better. It’s going on the tenth day and his nose is still red and his tail is still bobbing what should I do? Should I bring him back to the vet and tell them what is happening or should I try with a different veterinarian clinic because then medicine doesn’t seem to be doing it’s job. I can’t afford to continue going in to town to my vet because it cost me in total $160 dollars already for trips in and out and appointments and being a college student I don’t have that much money available to spend on him, so what should I do about my sick bird?
