Puppy Training…?

I just purchased a 3 month old Shiba Inu puppy. For the first 2 days I had him, he urinated only outside, but lately he has been going all over the house (both pee and poo). A woman I work with told me to crate train him, but I don’t want to do that for the simple fact that the vet diagnosed him with bronchitus (kennel cough from the pet shop), and hook worms. If I were to even try to train him using a kennel, I would have to take him out every hour to give him medicine, on top of taking him to do his duty (+ he likes to pee in the kennel anyways). I bought puppy pads and he goes on them occasionally, but most of the time he won’t pee on them. What is the easiest way to house train him? I need help before my boyfriend returns him to the pet store!!!!! thanks!

Opinions On “self” Vet Care?

What do you think of people who buy their vaccinations for their dogs, and do it themselves? Or buy their heartguard medicine online? If the person is doing everything timely and stuff, does that still make them a stupid pet owner?
I ask because sometimes I feel kind of weird that I only take my dog to the vet if she does seem sick (or for when she had her rabies shot, microchip and spay). But any “well dog” care, I do myself. The vaccine for distemper, etc (so called 7 in one)only costs 4.50 at a pet supply store. I get a 6 month supply of heartguard for 15 bucks online.

well…i have been in contact with a couple of stray cats..they spend the day out then come at night for dinner, anyway one of them is a female that gave birth to 4 little kittens right at my doormat 3 weeks ago…i couldnt take the cats in cuz i lack space where i live…i plan to when i move out to a better place
back to the kittens, they look okay, but last night i noticed one of them had an eye closed…with some yellowish-green errr..whats the word? ooze?…so i got a clean cotton..worm water and started cleaning it…the eye did manage to open up, alot of that green substance came out…
so i was wondering can a cat go blind by this? and if cleaning it everyday could get her well eventually or does it need a pet medicine…they r not that common here in Egypt
also what are the risks could she pass it to other kittens..or mother cat..and finally..me!
i read that it could be caused by some sort of chlamydia…which freaked me out…i wash my hand with regular soap after being in contact with them
one more thing, s 1 year old male used to visit me almost everynight -along with the mother- but he havent showed up 2 days after the mother gave birth…is that regular roaming…or he just respects the mothers “safe zone”….he used to be very uncomfortable around them….another female cat attacked him before for getting close to her kittens…iam getting worried about him :S

I have decided to get a Papillon puppy. I’ve done a ton of research and this breed fits best with my family and my animals’ needs. I have included a link to a picture-not my puppy- of the color and look of the puppy I would be getting.
