No there is no problems with cats getting declawed.
This is what they can do after getting declawed.
can jump up and down from furniture
no litter box problems
no balance problems
no personality problems
no behavioral problems
no bitting problems
can play with toys
My cat is declawed and she can do all of these with no problem and she is a very loved cat and I have given her a lot of love. Cats that have their claws are the ones that people get rid of because of the damage that they do.http://www.brandnamepetsupplies.com/store/reptileamphibian/lighting/index.htm "
Why do you feel the need to physically mutilate an animal to fit your needs? Were these kids brutally and forever marred? Did they die? Would it bother you if we cut off the end of your fingers? Or used a laser to inhibit a natural function of your body?
Good for your sister. I think you have more important issues than this.
Perhaps instead of surgery, you should talk to her more reasonably about training for the cat, or the kids, to prevent this.
This website should help you out
well there r some ones like a full declaw. that is were the vets go in a rip out the claws (well not rip but remove them) and so the cats do not acualy have claws. i think that is very cruel and in some cases makes infections and hurts the animal. but like my cat there is the tendon surgry. this is a process that pain free cuts the nerve (or tendon) that makes them so they can’t make there claws go in and out. the animal recovers way faster and they sufer none. my cat did that and i talked to the vet and it took her one night at the vets and her claws were sore for 2 days. the declaw can put the cat in shock for weeks at a time. i hope u do the tendon surgery
Some ppl believe its abuse.
I personally have had all my cats front declawed. I have gone through furniture damage from them and then carpet etc. My first cat, liked to play and yeah, those back feet came out and it was bloody for you.
Yes they remove the first metatarsal in the toe, its surgery. You can ask for pain killers afterwards. All my cats have never had a problem and recovered fully and quickly and lived healthy happy lives. That first cat, just passed away in April at the age of 21.
You can get the claw covers, what a pain and a fight with your cat to get them on.
I see nothing wrong with getting a cat declawed.
