Keeping people alive who otherwise would have died without surgery and medicine is a sin then. altering your appearance is a sin. using a computer or a cell phone to communicate is a sin. building houses and cutting down trees is a sin. domesticating animals as pets and service animals is a sin.
someone used the “anything that perverts gods truth” line to explain why being gay was a sin. So if this is true, boy are we a bunch of sinners. glad I’m an atheist and don’t care.

But then, the Christians will claim that “MEDICINE AND TECHNOLOGY ARE FROM GOD! You think humans would be able to come up with such amazing things? NO!”
So many things Fundamentalists approve of are totally going against what the Bible-followers followed 2000 years ago, I’m sure. If you showed a person from back then an iPod, they’d deem you a witch. If you showed them a remote controlled helicopter, they’d deem you a fairy. If you showed them a camera, they’d think it’s a soul-catcher.
But Fundamentalists approve of these things today… Hypocritical, no?
They’ll just say that God provided us with the means for such things . . . thus they are perfectly acceptable. Or something of that sort. They’ll justify it some way.
But, I agree with you. People arguing against genetic altering of fetuses, or abortion, etc. Anyone using the “it’s against the natural order” can be countered with this.

Medicine and SOME technology does not pervert God’s truth.
If medicine could keep us from dying…that would be a perversion….but we are all going to die and God’s truth remains
Spending billions of dollars to send a robot to mars to find water so that perhaps JUST perhaps we can say that maybe, kind a sorta, their might be the potential for life…..while thousands of lives are lost to starvation everyday…..THAT is a perversion

It just comes back to people picking and choosing what they want to believe. It isn’t a sin if you convince yourself otherwise.
You are taking the word pervert the wrong way. Putting on makeup, slathering on lotion, and so on is not bad.
