Well you should clean the fly bites first you don’t want your dog getting a infection.Try peroxide for this.(If the dog’s ears are really bad and infected you should consider cropping them.)
Then get some mosquito spray to spray on the dogs ears trust me it works and its cheap.
If you have alot of flies though you should buy that stuff that hangs and attracts flies nearby and its sticky so when they land on it they get stuck and die.
I have heard that if you can incorporate garlic into your dogs diet it will seep thru the skin and repel fleas…otherwise give what ever drug your vet suggests
what i have done for my dog is first i give him a good bath, than put a little Vaseline on his ears. once done than spray only the area needed with bug repellent. Avon’s is the best.
I don’t know about home remedies, but your vet may have a fly repellent you can put on your dog’s ears. K9 Advantix is also supposed to repel certain forms of biting flies as well as mosquitoes and killing fleas and ticks. The best solution though, keep your dog inside if it’s bothering him that bad.
I would use fly spray… there is some that u can use on horses and dogs. i have the roll on kind and it comes in a little bottle and is pretty cheap… works nice tho!
=) hope it helps!
