I have a small cat whose about a year old and she wont catch this mouse I have seen in my kitchen. She chase it and hunt and paws at it but she wont kill and what scares me is I think that they play together. I wont to put poison down but I’m scared that she might decide to eat it and get posion herself. I dont want to get another older cat to show her what she suppose to do. I dont have the money for a exterminator. Can anyone help or have any suggestings

Just put down a humane rat trap to capture your mouse ”roommate”.
Just because you have a cat, doesn’t mean that she’s a born hunter. Most cats aren’t.
well, that is unusual, i’ve only had one cat that wouldn’t mouse, and like you i didn’t poison the mouse, i traped it and let it go in a field across town. (probably made some hawk very happy, but i wasn’t going to do the little fellow in)
get some glue cards from walmart and put it under cabinets or stove wherever you see the mouse roaming the cat may not be old enough to realise his killer instinct and some cats i hate to say will not catch rodents no matter what you could buy mice from the pet store and put the cat in a box or cage or something with the store bought mouse and see what she does
Use some of those sticky sheet moust traps. Then release your cat’s little playmate outside. That way no one gets hurt and everyone’s happy.
i know u dont want to buy poison, but if you by some d-con and put it in a small space where the cat cannot get to such as behind a stove or something, the mouse will die soon and then u can remove the poison.. Personally i think it is cute, try to trap it in a small pet carrier, put some peanut butter in there. Shut it up then let it go somewhere away from your house.. Good Luck
