Flea bath and then a dose of Front line

  • Ty B says:

    In this order:
    1. Treat the yard with pesticides to kill fleas, malithion, etc.
    2. Treat the house with pesticides, Sentry makes a good product.
    3. Give the dog a good bath with a flea shampoo.
    4. Apply Advantage or other spot-on flea treatment.
You have to hit the fleas everywhere they could be, or they’ll jump right back on your dog. btw — If you don’t have a tick problem, Advantage works much better than Frontline for fleas.
    Good luck!

flea dip, (most grooming places offer them) then buy a flea collar. if this does not work then try finding a spray. advantage and frontline are good too but my dogs built up an immunity after using it for ten years it would no longer rid my dogs of fleas. don’t know if it’s true for all dogs but you will have to work around and try to find something that works for YOUR dog.
    hope this helps

Comfortis! A pill from the vet! Much better than any of the topical stuff. I LOVE IT! I have found that it works when nothing else will!
Don’t give a flea bath or put chemicals on your pet! A regular bath kills fleas just as a flea bath would but without the chemicals! Think about it… would you wash yourself with flea bath, EVER? If you wouldn’t put chemicals on yourself, why would you put them on your pet?
I agree that comfortis isn’t all natural but I have researched and it seems to be more tolerable than the others…

Please be careful what you use. Never use anything that you can buy from Walmart and do research on any product you are going to use from Petsmart or other places like that. They have been linked to death in your pets. Your best bet is to go to Doctorsfosterandsmith.com and order some Frontline. This is much safer and you will save money in the long run (versus buying a bunch of medicines that will not work). Flea collars are also very bad from what I have heard.

Remove any fleas from your pet using a fine-toothed pet comb designed for flea removal, and drop the fleas into soapy water to drown them.
Wash pet bedding in hot, soapy water weekly; this is the most likely site for flea eggs and larvae.

advantix or any flea and tick drops not expensive go to the vet and get it the shop bought ones aren’t as good, then a good grooming with a flea comb id imagine it could be quite theraputic for yor dog and you good luck

I was using expensive sprays, shampoos, pills etc…. until a friend sent me a email on Dawn Dishsoap. I thought it was really strange @ first but I tried it and it has worked amazingly!. I would not use it much just as needed (will dry their skin out).

  • Brewer’s yeast with garlic, which can be picked up at a pet store. It makes the dog’s skin distasteful and they won’t bother with him/her. It also is great for repelling ticks!

  • spiddy56 says:

first give him a flea bath, then buy a flea coler.( cah- ler) cant spell srry.
then give him flea powder. if problems persist put medicine on his skin or see ur vet.

  • maazhism says:

Advantix, Advantage, or any of the brand name dog flea and tick drops.

  • scareshe says:
