My friends recently returned from Peru and had delicious roasted guinea pig. I would like to buy a whole guinea pig and have it shipped to my US address so I can prepare it for myself. I don’t want to use one from a pet store because there might be toxic chemicals/medicines used to keep them healthy as pets. I am so excited to try this delicacy!
Sorry, couldn’t find a source in the U.S. but I did find that there are two restaurants in Chicago serving it.
Can’t you just use chicken instead? You’ll probably find that most people that answer this question may find it rather disturbing that you want to cook a guinea pig.
