My dog will be a year in the end of August. She munches on my older dogs “left-overs” could I just put her on regular dog food?

Depends on the breed, and your own preference. Large breed dogs mature later than small breeds and need to be kept on puppy food longer. My breeder recommended my lab stay on puppy food until 18 months, so I’ve followed that. However, my vet said it would have been okay to take her off sooner. Usually when your dog is fully grown will be an okay time to put them on adult food. And since your dog will be a year old soon, he’s probably almost full grown. If you want to put him on adult food now, I think it would be fine. If you want to be safe, you could keep him on puppy food for a little while longer. Your vet might have a recommendation as well.
And when you switch the food, give canned pumkpin with the food so your dog doesn’t get an upset tummy!
About one year to 14 months. Depends on the breed and size. Best advice is ask your vet
You could if you wanted to. I always just buy puppy food. I actually feed mainly human food, but keep puppy food down all the time in case they want a snack.
Hi. WHat food is the older dog on?
The food I feed is specially formulated for puppies and dogs. The holistic vet who formulated it says the main difference in commercial puppy food is a higher fat content. Let me know if you want more info.
usually up to one year or just a little there after. some dog foods are for all life stages put puppies diffinatley need the extra protein found in puppy food. if she’s close to being one year old, you can go ahead and switch her. you can call your vet and ask as well but a lot of vets like to recomend science diet, and it is a crappy food.
