Thank you soooooo much for all your help!!

just make sure that u take the some classes at yr local petco.

u have to be patient, and consistant…also u have to be understanding.

1. If you had a child and it cried because it’s diaper was full, would you want to teach it not to cry or would you change the diaper? You answered your own question, in part, about the barking problem. Know WHY and address that issue then if the barking continues, research training techniques to stop excessive barking.
2. Dogs dig. You can train a dog to dig in a certain area if it is prone to digging. Like a doggie sand box. Hide some treats or toys under the sand and say “Dig” – make a game of it and redirect to the okay digging spot when the dog starts to dig somewhere that is not “okay”. For a dog that is wanting to escape a yard or that escapism is part of their breed tendency when in a yard for any length of time unsupervised, you’ll likely have to proof your yard . Some bury some chicken wire, for instance, under the ground along the fence line surrounding the yard.
3. Read some of the numerous articles on the subject here at Yahoo answers or get a book on it from a pet store. Much is already written.
4. There is a product available from large pet stores, maybe some smaller ones now too, that are litter boxes built for cats to get in and prevent dogs from getting inside. They have a small entry from the top that a dog can’t get inside of but a cat can. Call a PetSmart or PetCo or area store to ask about these products.
5.Depends on the type of dog you have (some shed a lot, some very little) and it depends on how clean you keep your dog. Some dogs have coats that carry an odor more than others. Diet, genetics, hygiene, lots of factors in this.
If you want a dog breed that has minimal shedding, virtually anything mixed with a poodle would do. OR any breed made by mixing poodle in, like Miniature Schnauzers, Bischon Frise.
I vacuum my house about three times a week or more if needed, Keep carpets clean on spot clean basis as needed (immediately after any spill or whatever), deep carpet cleaning once or twice a year. Regularly change filters in air/heat system. I keep my dogs groomed regularly and they are on a good diet. All three shed to varying degrees which is minimized with good diet, regular grooming.
I have a very good vacuum cleaner! People that visit regularly comment that they’d never know a dog lived in the home (much less three) if they didn’t see them.
wow, maybe a goldfish would be a better pet for you. It will swim in a little circle and you clean the bowl once a week, and sprinkle in fish food a couple times a week.
1. Bark collar (if dog barks he is zap by collar)
2. keep him exercised and stop him if you see him
3. I always recommend house breaking scent because it has worked well for me.
4. make the bathroom OFF LIMITS to him, no shut door, not gate just “stay out, this room OFF LIMITS”
5. As often as you can. short hair dog will help, “ODOBAN” works well too.
You might not be a dog person..
Dogs don’t just bark when they are bored or want attention.. Dogs bark to communicate..
You teach your dog not to dig, and don’t leave them outside to get bored so that they will dig.
You crate train your dog, and teach him to pee outside.. Praise him when he does.
You teach the dog to stay out of the kitty litter box, if you can’t you move the box so that he can’t get to it.
You should vacuum daily if you want to make sure that there is as little hair as possible piling up all over the place.
1. I know dogs bark when they are bored or want attention or angry… but how can I get my dog to know that barking is not ok? If you get a guard dog, they will bark whenever anyone or a car or sometimes when they see a bird or quirrel on the ground outside. (mini schnauzers, boxers, doberman, and rotts,) if you dont want them to or dont want them to barks as much, say NO BARK!! really loud until they stop. or if that doesnt work go up to them with your inger point at them and say it again, if that doesnt work, hold their muzzle in your hand tightly so they cant breath very good for like 2 seconds. dont to it so hard that it hurts the dog, just hard enough for them to quit.
2. How can I make sure that my dog doesn’t dig?if you see your dog dig, you have to disapline it! Say NO DIG!! and point at the hole, make sure you are close to him/her so they know where you are pointing, if you have to point your dogs head so its facing the hole.
3. How can I train my dog to not pee or poo in the house? Every 2 hours take it out to go potty and poop, i know its a hard job but if you keep on doing it, they will learn what door to go to and that they should go out there, anotehr thing is try not to leave the food out all the time, some ppl have to even take away the water sometiems, but once they are potty trained you can leave the food or water out thats what we do with our mini schnauzer.
4. I have a cat, so how can I discourage the dog from eating the cat poo without locking the dog and cat out of the bathroom??as long as the litter pan is inclosed, but has an opening, keep it somewhere where the cat can climb to it, but the dog cant, or something like that.
5. How often should I clean my house to have it not get the dog hair piled up or the doggie smell permanent in my house? Get febreeze noticables, and plug them in everywhere in your house formt ime to time, spray down your curtains with febreeze air effects, and your couches, dog beds cat beds, so on…. whereever your cat or dogs goes, we have sprayed our dogs bed before with febreeze, let it dry and and put the bed back in her keenel, she slept in that bed one night, and she smelled really good in the morning lol. Vacumm as mucha s you can, atleast 1 time a week, we hadnt vacummed in a long time, and recently we had company over, so we wanted to vacumm, and OMG the smell that came from the carpet was HORRIBLE!!!! it took forever to get rid of the smell!!! oh and give your dog a bath!! atleast 1 time a week, unless it gets dirty the most baths in a week you should give him/her would be 3 , to many baths can result in dry skin, and all the oils on a dogs skin comes off.
