He has long fur & I usually comb him twice a day -just to keep his fur nice- but I don’t want to mess up the ‘medicine’. Also is it alright to pet/scratch him like normal… I have been avoiding his neck area…. Any help would be great Thank you.

A few hours should be fine – if you combed and treated him in the morning, then combing him in the evening will be fine.
It soaks into the skin then is distributed around the body.
You needn’t stop stroking him under the chin but if you can avoid the back of his neck for a couple of hours.
You do not want to pet him where you put the medicine, you’ll take some of it off, dont brush him for 1 day, you have to let the meds take effect first. And dont bathe the cat for 2 days, it has to absorb into their skin.
I waited 24 hours. She tried to lick it off and all. She couldn’t get the top part. It was goofy. I pet my cat and no change in the effectiveness
read the advantage booket, detail are in the book
I would and do wait a full day on the combing just to make sure…the Advantage instructions on the package should tell you something. I would not want to mess up the medicine which has to go through all the skin and soak in properly.Starts at the neck but it affects the whole body skin.
